The red piano

It’s 2022. Lockdown’s finally over. The world is full of hope, but the streets still feel a little empty.

As you walk along the road, something catches your eye. You step closer and see it’s a piano… waiting to be played.

Red painted upright piano decorated with painted grass, black branches, and colorful butterflies, situated on a tiled floor near a gray wall.

Client
Rugby First

To celebrate the end of lockdown, Rugby First invited Natasha Awuku to design and paint a piano that would be placed in the heart of Rugby's town centre (UK).

Inspired by the spirit of renewal marking the end of lockdown, Natasha painted a cheerful design to serves as a joyful celebration of community and resilience.

The piano was generously donated by Steve Droy Pianos.
